Today we began one of my all time favourite Math activities: Willie the Wiggle Worm. You can watch the video here to get a better understanding of the activity, I do not share the video with students after the 4 minute mark. Please don't print any of the sheets off at home as we will be working through them all week and possibly into next.

It is quite challenging and moves on in terms of difficulty while allowing students who need the extra practice at the beginning level to have it. It is teaching students grit, flexibility and resiliency in problem solving. It also reinforces numbers to 25 and their correct printing ie we still see reversals (ie 31 for 13) and students starting their numbers at the bottom instead of top as common errors.
